Overdag komt je huid in aanraking met heel wat externe invloeden, zoals uv-straling en vervuiling. 's Ochtends heeft ze dus vooral nood aan bescherming. 's Avonds is een grondige reiniging dan weer van belang, want ook make-up, zweet en je levensstijl laten zo hun sporen na op de huid. En je bereidt je huid best ook goed voor op de nacht: tijdens de slaap herstelt je velletje zichzelf immers, door de productie van lipiden die de huidbarrière versterken.
Huidverzorging voor 's ochtends
Stap 1: reinigen
Moét je je huid 's ochtends reinigen? Nope. Met een te sterke reiniging zou je namelijk datgene wat je huid 's nachts heeft opgebouwd kunnen wegwassen, en dat is natuurlijk zonde (en bovendien slecht voor de gezondheid van je huid). Heb je 's avonds grondig gereinigd, dan is extra reinigen 's ochtends in principe niet nodig. Heb je een erg vette, acnegevoelige huid, dan kan het wél fijn zijn om overtollig talg en sporen van je kussen 's ochtends weg te halen. Gebruik wel een milde reiniger die je huidbarrière niet aantast. Met een normale huid heb je voldoende aan een plens lauwwarm water. Heb je een droge of gevoelige huid? Dan skip je de ochtendreiniging best.

SPF 👏 all 👏 day 👏 every 👏 day! We kunnen het niet genoeg herhalen. Ongeacht het seizoen, de bewolking of je activiteit doorheen de dag is zonnebescherming een absolute must. In het najaar kun je kiezen voor een dagcrème met SPF, maar in de lente- en zomermaanden heb je een aparte zonnecrème voor je gezicht nodig om aan een voldoende hoge bescherming te komen. 's Avonds goed reinigen is van groot belang om sporen van de dag te wissen en je huid goed te laten herstellen. Reinig je niet (genoeg), dan geraken je poriën verstopt en krijg je -send help!- last van onzuiverheden, puistjes en huidirritatie. Ook wordt je verzorging nadien minder goed opgenomen.
