With Pink Iris, Abel achieves the impossible, creating a modern, natural, and floral perfume. The brand's customers had been requesting a floral scent for years, and founder Frances Shoemack immediately knew what he wanted to create first: the olfactory equivalent of a timeless ditch. Nose-tingling Szechuan pepper and fresh basil open this traditional floral bouquet, where the iris takes center stage, with rose, jasmine, and musk in the background. The iris butter used in the perfume is made in France and extracted from the roots of the iris plant. These are cut and dried for five years in a very labor-intensive process. The resulting oil is simultaneously earthy and powdery. This combination makes this the ultimate floral perfume.
